PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As a Consultant at SullivanCotter, you will have the opportunity to lead work as part of a team and enthusiastically contribute to consulting projects in the workforce and organizational design. Examples of the work you will perform include:

  • Work directly with clients and leaders within the firm to provide a full range of comprehensive workforce design consulting services focused on benchmarking and design in the areas of workforce size, distribution, demographic composition, reporting structure, job title utilization, labor cost and span of control.
  • Functioning as a subject matter expert regarding specific client market workforce and organization design issues. Understands and evaluates client business problems and develops data-driven solutions.
  • Lead the aggregation, analysis, and interpretation of data, partnering with analysts to work on large and highly complex data sets. Prepares client reports using visualizations to summarize data and benchmarks, illustrate a case for change and design alternatives for a collaborative discussion with clients.
  • Contribute ideas and processes to build the firm’s tools and methodologies, conducting predictive modeling, and supporting special research projects.
  • Writing and compiling reports, deliverables, and thought leadership as well as proofing for accuracy.
  • Providing project management of ongoing engagements, surfacing delays or potential problems, escalating issues and collaborating with the team to problem-solve, holding self and team members accountable for client deadlines and deliverables.
  • Serve as a peer reviewer and mentor of technical knowledge to effectively guide more junior associates in complex research, data collection and analytics.
  • Establish client relationships and act as a key point of contact for client inquiries, as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Basic programming experience is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to:
    • Determine appropriate data analytic approaches and tools based on project tasks and client requirements.
    • Analyze, organize and interpret data using a logical and systematic process.
    • Remove irrelevant data when conducting analytical work and developing creative solutions.
    • Visualize and articulate complex problems and concepts.
    • Recognize patterns in complex sets of data and recommend practical models.
    • Identify and recommend solutions to remove obstacles impeding project steps or task achievement.
  • Knowledge of labor-related laws and regulations that impact the health care client population.
  • Ability to provide relevant subject matter expertise and draft well-organized client deliverables that demonstrate understanding.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly language and accurately respond to client or associate inquiries.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, verbal and presentation skills are required, including the ability to:
    • Make clear and convincing oral presentations that achieve a specific purpose.
    • Successfully tailor communications to the audience, as appropriate.
    • Effectively present facts, analysis and conclusions or solutions in a way that demonstrates command of content, factors in perspectives and interests of the audience.
    • Write concise project communications, documents, and presentations with an appropriate level of technical detail and complexity.
    • Use an appropriate writing style consistent with organizational guidelines, templates, and brand standards.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills and ability to manage and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Reflected below is the base salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to academic achievements, skills and experience. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

  • $96,492 – $130,548
