The Financial Analytics and Reporting Analyst performs various financial analyses, including budgeting and forecasting, develops financial models, performs research and analyses, prepares reports, and assists with monthly close and performance monitoring processes.


PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) support and reporting related to productivity, demand planning and key performance metrics in a timely manner.
    • Assist with budgeting and monthly reporting processes.
    • Develop financial projections and build financial models.
    • Analyze financial data to ensure proper accounting and firm procedures and policies are followed.
  • Compile, consolidate, analyze and prepare data for financial reports and long-range financial plans.
  • Research and communicate concise variance analyses to forecast, budget and prior periods while proactively highlighting opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with management to determine reporting requirements and drive effective reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and analysis. Develop and implement tools for increased and efficient analytical capabilities.
  • Support finance and data services teams with implementing process improvements using tools such as SQL, Alteryx and Tableau.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to department guidelines and documentation to ensure up-to-date policies and procedures.
  • Perform special projects, research and analyses as required and other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field, such as accounting, finance, economics, statistics or engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in data analytics or financial reporting.
  • Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
  • Understanding of or familiarity with financial reporting concepts and deliverables.
  • Ability to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting and reporting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Advanced spreadsheet skills and a thorough understanding of Excel-based financial reporting to facilitate modeling are required.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) or related tools.
    • Experience querying data via SQL, Alteryx or other programming languages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Extract Transfer Load (ETL) concepts/processes and the ability to aggregate data in a meaningful way.
  • Ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages to various audiences through effective verbal and written presentations.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

Reflected below is the base salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to academic achievements, skills and experience. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

  • $55,769 – $90,000
