1992
Sullivan, Cotter and Associates, Inc. is founded by John Sullivan, Tim Cotter, Jim Rohan, and Mark Pittel.
1994
The firm sharpens its focus on not-for-profit health care, with particular expertise in executive and physician compensation advisory.
1998
SullivanCotter expands its workforce intelligence capabilities, establishing flagship surveys including the Health Care Management and Executive Compensation Survey and the Physician Compensation and Productivity Survey.
2011
SullivanCotter expands its physician workforce advisory capabilities through the addition of professionals from Diversified Medical Management (DMM), the health care consulting division of McCrory & McDowell LLC, opens a new office in Pittsburgh, and acquires McGladrey’s physician compensation practice to further strengthen its national consulting expertise.
2017
SullivanCotter expands its advanced practice provider advisory services by launching a dedicated practice focused on this rapidly growing segment of the health care workforce.
2018
The firm rebrands as SullivanCotter, Inc., reflecting its evolution into a broader workforce and organizational advisory firm, and acquires Navigant’s physician workforce consulting practice to expand expertise in physician alignment, compensation, and workforce strategy.
2022
SCH Capital Holdings, Inc. is established, creating a holding company structure to support strategic growth and expanded capabilities. That same year, SCH Capital Holdings acquires Clinician Nexus, which operates alongside SullivanCotter within the SCH Capital Holdings family of brands as a dedicated health care technology services company.
2023
SullivanCotter launches C3 Nonprofit Consulting Group, a division of SullivanCotter, Inc., expanding advisory services dedicated to the nonprofit industry.
2024
SCH Capital Holdings, Inc. acquires Lotis Blue Consulting, further broadening advisory capabilities in leadership performance, organizational effectiveness, and change acceleration.
2025
SCH Capital Holdings, Inc. acquires Statera, enhancing its technology platform capabilities to support physician compensation administration.
2026
SullivanCotter expands its health care valuation capabilities through the addition of Huron’s health care valuation practice.
