Meg Garrison is a Managing Director at SullivanCotter, Inc. With over 30 years of consulting experience, Meg leads client relationships and teams that work with academic and large, complex health systems. Within a fast-changing marketplace, she specializes in developing executive and workforce solutions that meet an organization’s strategic goals.
Meg’s experience includes:
- Designing, implementing and communicating executive total compensation strategies that drive performance and innovation amid industry transformation, system consolidation and new financial model expectations.
- Defining appropriate talent markets from inside and outside the health care industry to reflect the new skills required to ensure organizations manage risk, compete in new businesses and focus on population health initiatives.
- Leading teams to help organizations effectively leverage compensation and benefits as critical workforce strategies that recruit, retain and engage experienced and entrepreneurial talent that is needed in today’s ever-changing health care industry.
- Working with organizations’ management and boards to develop effective and compliant compensation decision-making processes, governance procedures and responsibilities.
- Preparing formal opinions regarding the reasonableness of compensation provided to disqualified persons of not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organizations.
As a member of the SullivanCotter Board, Meg helps set the direction for the firm. Previously, she was a senior executive compensation consultant at a global human resources consulting firm. She also is a member of WorldatWork and the Society for Human Resource Management.
Meg earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at UNC – Chapel Hill. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
