Kyle Tormoehlen

Principal

Kyle Tormoehlen is a Principal in the Physician Workforce Practice at SullivanCotter. Kyle has 15 years of experience leading complex health care business valuations, including but not limited to physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care centers and invitro fertilization laboratories. Kyle also provides valuation services related to intangible assets such as certificates of need and restrictive covenants.

Fluent in market trends, familiar with health care provider segments and skilled at financial modeling, Kyle provides fair market value analysis and commercial reasonableness opinions to assist clients in navigating the complexity of health care mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he designs physician compensation plans that align with organizations’ business acquisition strategies and drive provider performance.

Kyle’s experience includes:

  • Assisting organizations with strategic acquisitions of physician practices and ancillary service lines, including due diligence assessments, business valuations and transaction advisory services to further the strategic and financial goals of both buyers and sellers.
  • Partnering with senior leadership and physician leaders to develop and implement post-transaction physician compensation programs that align with overall business strategies.
  • Designing and valuing professional service agreements and physician employment arrangements across an array of specialties to drive performance and organizational success.

Kyle previously was the director of valuation and transaction advisory services for a health care technology solutions company.

As an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) certified by the American Society of Appraisers, Kyle was recently cited as an industry expert in Key Trends in Physician Compensation and Practice Acquisition, by Laura Dyrda, Becker’s ASC Review (online), June 30, 2017, ASC Communications: Chicago, Illinois. In addition, Kyle regularly speaks on similar topics to health care executives and attorneys. Also, he frequently publishes articles on health care valuation topics.

Kyle earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, and a Master of Business Administration with a focus in financial analysis from the University of Colorado at Denver.
