Principal

Julie Mannion is a Consulting Principal in SullivanCotter’s Physician Workforce Practice. Julie joined SullivanCotter in 2015 and has over 20 years of experience in physician compensation, finance and operations. She leverages her analytical point of view to help translate complex data and build connections between business economics, operational performance and clinical outcomes.

Julie’s experience includes:

  • Conducting fair market value assessments and opinions for employed and independent contractor provider compensation arrangements to mitigate risk and support compliance.
  • Performing due diligence analyses and valuation to understand the impact of mergers and transactions for physician practices and other health care entities.
  • Designing physician compensation programs that incorporate the components necessary to remain competitive, drive provider performance and align with organizational goals in an evolving health care environment.
  • Educating leadership on best practices and emerging trends in compensation plan development and governance.

Prior to joining SullivanCotter, Julie worked for Allegheny Clinic, Allegheny Health Network’s employed physician organization with over 1,000 physicians, for over 12 years. She most recently served as the Director of Finance, overseeing physician compensation, budgeting and business planning, as well as serving as the physician finance liaison to other departments, including, but not limited to, health system administration, operations, accounting, human resources, revenue cycle, and payroll.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with dual majors in business administration and accounting from Thiel College in Greenville, PA and a Master of Business Administration degree from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. She is a Certified Valuation Analyst with an active membership of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
