Managing Principal

Shane Goss is a Managing Principal in SullivanCotter’s Clinical Workforce Services Practice. He has extensive experience providing financial advisory and valuation services to health care organizations across the country. Shane performs valuations in support of mergers and acquisitions, corporate compliance, and financial reporting requirements, and serves as a financial consultant to both nonprofit and for-profit health care entities.

With deep expertise in complex transactions and regulatory-driven valuation matters, Shane partners with health systems, physician organizations, and health care companies to deliver fair market value analyses, purchase price allocations, facility assessments, and advisory solutions that strengthen financial performance and support strategic growth initiatives.

Shane’s experience includes:

  • Leading valuation and due diligence engagements for nonprofit and publicly traded health care organizations, including physician practice acquisitions, equity buy-in arrangements, and business development initiatives.
  • Performing ASC 805 purchase price allocations, including for a $250 million acquisition, and other financial reporting valuations in support of health care transactions.
  • Conducting facility life analyses, cost segregation studies, and fixed asset management engagements that improved hospital financial performance by more than $10 million.
  • Providing valuation services for tax compliance, corporate compliance, and litigation support matters.

Shane is an Accredited Member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). He is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the American Society of Appraisers, and the American Health Lawyers Association.

He has published in the American Health Lawyers Association’s Business Law & Governance Newsletter, including articles on physician practice valuation and service line transactions. Shane is also a frequent speaker on legal, valuation, and tax considerations in hospital-physician integration transactions, including presentations at AHLA Annual Meetings, tax conferences, and national teleconferences.

Shane earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois.
