Principal

Laura Lennartz is a Principal in the Executive Workforce Practice at SullivanCotter. With over 20 years of consulting experience, Laura works closely with health care organizations to align executive compensation, performance, and talent strategy with overall business goals – helping clients to remain competitive and agile in an increasingly complex marketplace.

Laura serves as the strategic advisor to leading academic medical centers, pediatric institutions, integrated delivery systems and community hospitals. 

Laura’s experience includes:

  • Developing executive compensation philosophies and programs that are rooted in an organization’s strategic objectives, evolving talent requirements and the competitive market so as to attract and retain strong talent and encourage leadership stability.
  • Advising boards and senior leaders on industry best practices, current and emerging trends and regulatory compliance related to executive compensation to ensure they make informed decisions within the context of a transforming industry.
  • Leading total compensation assessments to determine competitiveness and reasonableness, and to aid in the development of effective recruitment, retention, and engagement practices.
  • Supporting organizations with incentive plan design and goal calibration to align executives with the achievement of short-term and long-term priorities that drive success.
  • Developing executive contract, retention and severance arrangement terms in support of executive talent strategies to assist with leadership continuity, stability and transition.
  • Preparing formal opinion letters regarding the reasonableness of compensation provided to disqualified persons of not-for-profit 501(c)(3) and (c)(4) organizations.

Prior to joining SullivanCotter, Laura was a senior principal and executive compensation consultant with a global human resources consulting firm.

Laura has an M.A. in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Colorado and a B.A. in psychology and business administration from the Pennsylvania State University.
