National APP Advisory Council Meeting

Please join us this year for the Annual Meeting!

This meeting brings together top advanced practice provider (APP) leaders from around the country to focus on the evolving role of APPs and spark discussion about new trends, performance drivers and leading practices. Participants have the opportunity to learn from their peers in a variety of ways, including case studies, panel discussions, structured exercises and informal networking opportunities that have been built into this 1.5 day session.

The focus for this year's event will be on APP leadership development and the evolution of the APP workforce. In addition, we will revisit presentations from 2022 to learn more about results/lessons learned from implementing these APP initiatives.

During this meeting facilitated by SullivanCotter, we will:

  • Share market data on APP utilization, employment structures and organizational practices
  • Review literature related to the APP workforce
  • Learn directly from other NAAC organizations who have recently enhanced their onboarding framework, leadership development programs and career pathways
  • Network with peers and inform the development of new tools and solutions that will impact your work and your leadership role

Continuing Medical Education

  • Identify evolving models of care utilizing APPs and explore the latest data trends around optimal APP utilization and compensation
  • Understand the importance of a system approach to APP and Physician leadership structures and how to leverage organizational resources
  • Discuss the implementation of effective governance structures for an APP workforce to achieve health care system goals
  • Understand effective onboarding framework to ensure seamless APP transition into practice
  • Explore pay equity data and resources and the impact on the health care workforce

This meeting is intended for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Physician Assistant (PA) leaders who are responsible for the strategic oversight and management of the APP workforce.

What is the National APP Advisory Council?

SullivanCotter's National APP Advisory Council focuses on the emerging role of the advanced practice provider. It guides the development of tools, solutions, data collection and other resources needed by leaders to assess and optimize the APP workforce. The purpose of the Council is to:

  • Create unique platforms to facilitate networking, discussion and ideation
  • Identify leading practices, emerging trends, performance drivers and common barriers
  • Offer ongoing networking and learning opportunities
  • Provide early access to new thinking, models, products and data
  • Cultivate a community of progressive health care leaders committed to helping shape the evolving:
    • Health care environment
    • Models of care
    • Infrastructure needed to support the APP workforce
