 Some of the highlights from this year’s Summit will include:

Keynote speaker Jean McCall, Director of Human Resources for The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, will present her insights on the current and future state of talent in philanthropy. 

The Kresge Foundation will discuss its approach to transforming organizational culture. 

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation will share their experience in developing an organizational-wide succession planning strategy.

SullivanCotter will present on executive compensation issues of greatest importance for private foundations.

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation will discuss innovative practices in total rewards.

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation will discuss their experience designing and implementing a new, foundation-wide career lattice.

Panel discussion and case studies with The McKnight Foundation and The James Irvine Foundation on innovations in performance management.

SullivanCotter will present on the looming “Cadillac Tax” as part of the Affordable Care Act.

An interactive session, led by an industry expert from Queens University, will provide tools and tips on how to engineer high-functioning, multi-generational teams.

WHAT IS THE FOUNDATION HR ALLIANCE?

The Foundation HR Alliance is a newly-established forum for private foundations to connect and have ongoing dialogue around human resources issues of great importance: compensation, benefits, performance management, talent management and leadership.

Sullivan, Cotter and Associates, Inc. created the Alliance in response to our clients’ desire to network and share expertise with one another on these key people matters. In partnership with the Council on Foundations and utilizing an esteemed Steering Committee composed of prominent private foundations from across the country, this forum will bring together individuals from private foundations with a minimum of 20 full-time staff to network and share ideas and expertise around HR matters.
