Jeff Peal is the Information Security Officer at SCH Services. With over 20 years of cyber security and information technology experience, Jeff has a longstanding passion for providing business-enabled solutions while also managing risk and strengthening organizational security. His demonstrated ability to envision, lead and implement innovative IT programs helps to drive security awareness, increase productivity, and mitigate unnecessary risk and exposure.

As SC Services continues to develop and enhance its growing suite of technology, survey and data products, Jeff works closely with clients both during and after the implementation process to support compliance and assist with the way data is secured, managed and stored.

He also plays a pivotal role in directing the organization’s information security growth initiatives and resources internally.

Jeff’s experience includes:

• Establishing enterprise-level security initiatives through specialized expertise in business intelligence, cyber security, risk assessment, information architecture, software development, and data analytics
• Leading high-performing teams across a number of technical and analytical support areas to manage ongoing firmwide security programs and initiatives such as incident response, access management, compliance and more
• Designing strategic information security policies to ensure client operations are minimally impacted while maintaining security assurance levels
• Communicating cyber security risks and corresponding mitigation strategies both internally with senior and executive leadership and externally with clients
• Auditing software security and application vulnerability to ensure client-facing technology solutions remain highly effective, operational and compliant in a rapidly evolving health care environment

Prior to joining the organization, Jeff spent more than 20 years with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis where he most recently served as an Assistant Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer.

Currently, he serves as an adjunct professor and community faculty member at two Minneapolis-based technical colleges and universities to support higher education in information security and expand and develop local talent in this field.

Jeff received his Master’s degree in Information Technology from Capella University.
