Executive Workforce Practice Leader
Bruce Greenblatt is Executive Workforce Practice Leader at SullivanCotter. As an attorney and consultant for over 20 years, Bruce advises health care business leaders and boards on executive and physician compensation programs and governance. He works extensively with leading academic medical centers and integrated health systems.
In light of the changing business environment, new competitors and system consolidations, Bruce’s expertise helps organizations achieve strategic and operating goals, as well as leadership sustainability. He also helps ensure reasonable levels of pay in compliance with IRS standards.
His experience includes the following:
- Developing executive compensation programs that are rooted in an organization’s business objectives, specialized and emerging talent requirements, and competitive market so as to attract, retain and motivate the best talent, creating leadership excellence and stability.
- Designing incentive programs and retention arrangements to align executives with the achievement of short-term and long-term priorities that drive organizational success on a balanced scorecard of financial, quality, patient experience and other priority metrics.
- Supporting integration activities as mergers and acquisitions are consummated to ensure that the resulting compensation programs are aligned across the enterprise and include appropriate transition strategies.
- Establishing governance processes so that executive and physician compensation programs receive the proper degree of Board oversight, enabling the organization to manage risks and align pay as its strategies and requirements evolve.
Prior to joining SullivanCotter, Bruce was a partner at a global consulting firm and led executive compensation in the U.S. He frequently speaks on the topic of executive compensation design and governance at conferences such as Georgetown Law’s “Representing and Managing Tax-Exempt Organizations.”
Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, both in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
