Executive Workforce Portfolio Team Leader
Meg Garrison is Executive Workforce Portfolio Team Leader at SullivanCotter. With over 20 years of consulting experience, Meg specializes in executive compensation and works with her clients to design reward programs to support the achievement of organizational goals.
Prior to joining SullivanCotter, Meg was a Senior Executive Compensation Consultant at Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson) and a Consultant with HayGroup. Meg’s consulting work is focused on serving as the executive compensation advisor to boards and senior management. Meg also oversees projects related to physician compensation and alignment and employee compensation. Specifically, Meg’s experience includes:
- Developing total compensation strategies, including defining appropriate peer groups to reflect talent markets and determining the appropriate mix of compensation components.
- Working with boards and compensation committees to develop effective and compliant compensation decision-making processes, governance procedures and responsibilities.
- Educating boards, compensation committees and executives on regulations affective executive compensation.
- Designing, implementing and communicating executive, management and employee incentive programs, including executive long-term incentive plans, and defining organization and individual performance measures and criteria.
- Designing and conducting custom compensation and benefits surveys.
- Preparing formal opinions regarding the reasonableness of compensation provided to disqualified persons of not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organizations.
Meg works with a variety of organizations, including large multi-hospital, multi-state health systems, academic medical centers, regional community-based health systems, religiously affiliated organizations and managed care organizations.
Meg earned a Master of Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in finance from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a member of WorldatWork and the Society for Human Resource Management.
