Rachel Wilson

General Counsel

Rachel Wilson, Esq., is General Counsel for SCH Shared Services. With more than 20 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, Rachel has advised some of the biggest names in health care on complex technology and commercial transactions – including critical procurement activities, outsourcing agreements, licensing, and enterprise-wide technology acquisition and implementation activities.
In her current role, Rachel provides leadership with support and strategic counsel on a range of legal matters such as compliance, contracting, data use and sharing arrangements, intellectual property, supporting merger and acquisition activities, and more.

As SC Services continues to grow and expand, Rachel’s expertise helps to further the organization’s overall mission of providing clients with best-in-class advisory services and technology solutions.

Her experience includes:

  • Partnering with leadership and other key stakeholders throughout all stages of the commercial transaction process including anything connected to performance issues or disputes arising after contract execution, managing trademarks and trade names, and data use and sharing arrangements.
  • Structuring, drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial agreements related to outsourcing, software licensing, SaaS arrangements, website development and hosting, and other technology-related transactions.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams and committees responsible for assessing risk and managing compliance in an evolving health care environment.
  • Working with clients to optimize the information technology implementation and procurement process, including the creation of tools and templates to help.
  • Providing strategic legal and operational advice on the structure of web-based service offerings for clients.

Previously, Rachel served as Senior Counsel, Technology and Commercial Transactions for Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation. She also spent time at UnitedHealth Group as the Associate General Counsel, Technology and IP – Commercial Contracting.

She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville as well her BA in Psychology from Hampton University.
