Stephanie Wilson is a Principal in the Executive Workforce Practice at SullivanCotter. With over 25 years of experience in human resources consulting, Stephanie leverages her expertise and passion for using data and detailed analysis to inform critical decision-making. Her approach helps health care and not-for-profit organizations design total rewards programs for their executives and workforces that drive performance.
Her experience includes:
- Advising boards and compensation committees as they balance their organization’s strategic goals, a competitive executive talent market, and the need for competitive but reasonable executive compensation.
- Developing total rewards philosophies and strategies for executives and employees that align with employers’ business objectives and mission goals in the ever-changing health care industry.
- Using data to help complex health systems pay competitively, develop career leveling frameworks, and design common compensation practices and policies after a merger or acquisition.
- Creating incentive programs for all internal stakeholders – from executive leadership through the broad-based workforce – to attract, engage and retain top talent and reinforce behaviors that generate quality care, great patient experience and cost-effective operations.
- Analyzing compensation practices to help organizations work toward gender equality in pay levels.
- Educating boards and compensation committees on trends inside and outside the industry that drive success in health care organizations.
- Designing and working in depth with surveys to bring a true understanding of market competitiveness to clients.
- Preparing formal opinion letters regarding reasonableness of compensation provided to disqualified persons of not-for-profit 501(c)(3) and (c)(4) organizations.
Prior to joining SullivanCotter, Stephanie worked in two global human resources consulting firms, primarily as a compensation consultant. She also held roles as global head of product management for compensation surveys and rewards research director.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in statistics from Northwestern University. She’s also earned a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in economics, econometrics and statistics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
