David Schwietz

Chief Information Officer

David Schwietz is the Chief Information Officer for SullivanCotter. As an innovator with over 25 years of consulting, entrepreneurial and executive management experience, David has led information technology strategies and key initiatives at some of the nation’s most prominent financial, medical and federal organizations. He also has specialized knowledge in blockchain technology and business intelligence, understanding their potential for transforming the way health care organizations manage, store and secure data.

Leveraging his deep technical expertise, David works closely with hospitals and health systems as they integrate new technology platforms, systems and services across the organization.

In addition, David is responsible for leading SullivanCotter’s information technology growth initiatives and resources. He is focused on enhancing data security, expanding the firm’s infrastructure and product strategy, and developing new and innovative software services.

David’s experience includes:

  • Leading high-performing teams in the development of cutting-edge technology solutions to ensure the speed, simplicity and reliability of related client services and products.
  • Managing enterprise-level technology initiatives through specialized expertise in information architecture, software development, high-speed networking, online/mobile, cyber security, business intelligence, data analytics and emerging blockchain applications.
  • Utilizing traditional, adaptive and hybrid delivery methodologies, including agile software development, to design and implement strategic solutions that help manage new market challenges and meet evolving business objectives.
  • Inspiring problem-solving and creativity required to drive the delivery of innovative software development and architecture strategies that provide clients insights into compensation and performance management.

Previously, David held senior leadership positions at organizations such as the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, Best Buy and Wells Fargo.

David received his Project Management Professional (PMP) and ScrumMaster certifications. He speaks regularly on blockchain and other emerging technologies and is currently co-authoring a book on artificial intelligence.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts in computer science/business from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.
