Employee Workforce Practice Leader

Cathy Loose is Employee Workforce Practice Leader of SullivanCotter’s Employee Workforce Practice. For over 25 years, Cathy has advised employers in health care, higher education and global markets on all areas of broad-based, workforce compensation. She has also served as compensation consultant to companies in the biotech, pharma, hi-tech and life science industries.

For more than 20 years, Cathy lived and consulted in various regions around the world, including Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and North America. Her global knowledge and experience bring fresh perspectives to innovation and industry trends on the topics of total rewards and workforce planning, as well as diversity, equity and inclusion.

Her experience includes:

  • Developing enterprise-wide rewards philosophies, career architecture and compensation frameworks that align employee rewards and incentives with an organization’s mission and key strategies.
  • Leading executive teams to create compensation strategies that demonstrate agility during times of change, such as a wide economic shift, an industry challenge, a natural disaster or a community crisis such as a pandemic.
  • Analyzing and consolidating complex people practices to drive and enable enterprise growth, organization realignments, business consolidations and merger and acquisition transactions.
  • Leveraging experience in emerging markets to push more traditional-thinking organizations toward progressive practices that help improve recruitment, engagement and performance.
  • Using international experience to support global collaboration and expansion plans with effective talent mobility strategies, multinational compensation practices and effective incentive designs.

Before joining SullivanCotter, Cathy held leadership positions around the world at several large global consulting firms. She led a variety of practices including global mobility, broad-based compensation, total rewards and human capital solutions.

She is a frequent speaker at national conferences on global, broad-based compensation and talent mobility, and she holds the designation of SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SCP). Cathy is fluent in English, French and Vietnamese and proficient in Japanese and Mandarin Chinese.

Cathy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. She also holds a Master of Business Administration in international finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona.
