The Sr Manager, Data Reporting Analytics sits within the Center for Information, Analytics and Insights within SullivanCotter’s Information Technology Business Unit and is located in the Minneapolis office. This position oversees the data methodology and analytics processes in support of a variety of analytic solutions. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining best practices for data methodologies and focuses on the growth of analytics offerings. This position will lead a team of Data Reporting Analysts and Survey Managers. The position interfaces with external clients, functional IT teams, internal consultants across practices, and other software delivery team members. This role will be instrumental in the generation of data products and analytics deliverables.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and implements data strategies to provide best-in-class data products and analytics that demonstrate the value of SullivanCotter’s data and services.
  • Oversees the creation and delivery of high-quality analyses and develops and maintains best practices for statistical and data transformation methodologies, including direct supervision of data analysis in support of a variety of data products.
  • Ensures consistency of approach related to analysis techniques, key findings, and the development of recommendations/opportunities from clients and key stakeholders.
  • Identifies and implements new approaches and methods to improve capabilities and efficiency of data analytics and product offerings.
  • Ensures data integrity by overseeing quality assurance practices. Identifies and defines both process and data improvements.
  • Partners with stakeholders to understand data requirements and with internal and/or external resources to develop tools and services such as segmentation, modeling, dashboard development, decision aids, and business case analysis to support the organization.
  • Demonstrates effective client and team relationship skills. Designs and collaborates with consulting partners on survey report process and materials to advance the firm’s reporting capabilities and improve accuracy of data. Leads meetings to present analysis, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicates workload prioritization and progress to all interested parties; ensures projects are appropriately staffed.
  • Hire, train, and develop all team members.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • BA or BS, with emphasis in statistical research or mathematics. MBA or master’s degree in relevant areas is a plus.
  • Requires 10+ years of relevant experience in the areas of statistical research and data analysis with demonstrable analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a data analytics leadership role.
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Tableau. Basic programming experience to include Alteryx, VBA, SQL, Python or R is preferred.
  • Familiarity with salary surveys, market pricing and benchmarks is a plus.
  • Advanced experience in Excel including but not limited to pivot tables, lookup formulas (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP), logical formulas (or, if, and, iserror), conditional formatting, and numerous other Excel functions.
  • Ability to visualize data to stakeholders in a simple and concise manner through visualization software products.
  • Must be able to balance multiple projects simultaneously and meet set deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, including demonstrated data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Knowledge of the health care industry is preferred.
