This role is with the Not-for-Profit practice within SullivanCotter, which serves clients in private and community foundations, research institutes, policy and advocacy organizations, social justice, higher education and others.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As a Senior Research Analyst in the Not-for-Profit Practice at SullivanCotter, you will:

  • Create, enhance and utilize various data sources to build and sustain practice datasets, ensuring they include the most accurate and timely data on compensation, benefits, pay equity, living wage and other HR practices.
  • Support billable client work related to executive performance reviews and custom survey efforts.
  • Lead the data solicitation, analysis and reporting for practice surveys on current trends.
  • Gather and analyze data for and from client reports, news articles and other online platforms to contribute to shared datasets.
  • Maintain existing and develop new databases on executive and board compensation.
  • Provide input to and support the development and maintenance of talent trend decks.
  • Create, format, and update webpage content for practice website and affinity group client portal.
  • Create visual presentations of findings using data visualization techniques and methods.
  • Provide editorial support for content related publications, such as proofreading, data preparation, and development of figures and charts
  • Develop and implement tools, work product templates, processes and methodologies that will improve productivity and quality.
  • Provide support for other client or practice related projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

We find people who generally fit this profile have a high degree of success in this role:

  • Three years or more of business-related experience with data analysis, financial modeling and presentation design.
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Basic programming and survey experience.
  • Advanced Qualtrics – Experience designing/building new surveys in Qualtrics and in creating survey deliverables using advanced Qualtrics reporting.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to:
    • Gather, analyze and organize data using a logical and systematic process.
    • Ascertain relevant and irrelevant data when conducting analytical work.
    • Visualize and articulate problems and concepts in a systematic manner.
  • Proficient skills in problem solving and critical thinking, including the ability to:
    • Recognize patterns in complex sets of data and develop practical models.
    • Analyze and interpret data using basic modeling techniques.
    • Anticipate challenges, identify alternate solutions, and drive the removal of obstacles impeding project/team progress.

Reflected below is the base salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to academic achievements, skills and experience. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

  • $84,000 – $102,770
