PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Technical Project Manager partners with business and technical teams in establishing project teams and providing overall direction for the technology development components of projects from initiation through to delivery. Perform project estimation, budget management, formulate project scope and delivery strategies, establish milestones/schedules, maintain and report project status, and monitor progress of all team members. Gather required data from end-users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to create technical specifications. Serve as liaisons between technical and non-technical departments in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met. Set expectations and hold teams accountable to the deliverables. Keep leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results.


Specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of the Director, PMO include:


  • Own the delivery process for projects initiative by the business stakeholders from intake through delivery.
  • Keep business stakeholders well-informed of the health and progress of survey projects and deliver regular status reporting to business stakeholders.
  • Develop and propose risk mitigation plans as necessary aimed at ensuring projects complete on time, on budget and with high quality.
  • Manage, educate, create, design, develop and consult with internal analysts and key stakeholders.
  • Translate and communicate complex resourcing issues and solutions in a simple, effective way to business stakeholders.
  • Assess near-term and longer-term resource needs to recommend hiring priorities and inform staffing or hiring strategies.
  • Develop and recommend solutions that improve or enhance surveys, balancing business requirements with the drive for standardization and operational efficiency.
  • Establish or implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures in conjunction with key stakeholders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • BA or BS in Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 6+ years in a technical project management role with demonstrated experience managing a team of resources and multiple large projects in various stages of the project life cycle at the same time.
  • PMP or Certified Scrum Master is preferred.
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Basic understanding of programming languages and processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project is required.
  • Experience managing projects with Azure Dev Ops(ADO).
  • Knowledge of the health care industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking, excellent written and oral communication and strong organizational skills are necessary.
