The Operations Data Reporting Analyst partners with internal business and technical teams in developing reports and dashboards and supporting and training end users. In addition, this position supports the Data Services team with data pulls, aggregating data and dashboard reports. This position reports into the Senior Director, The Center for Information, Analytics and Insights (CIAI).

Specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of the Senior Director, CIAI include:

  • Partnering and supporting multiple areas within our firm, such as accounting and finance, marketing, and Human Resources
  • Analyze and resolve business operations issues and needs
  • Provide quality control to business operations
  • Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment
  • Proficiently navigate data sets across relational databases in order to aid in the development of reporting and KPI dashboards
  • Ability to communicate impact through effective data storytelling and visualization, understanding how data structure and formatting impacts ease of use across platforms
  • Partners with Enterprise BI team in order to bring prototype solutions into production environments for efficient and scalable use across the company
  • Support and develop effective, accurate, and automated delivery of key reports and data sets
  • Understanding complex business processes and relationships to existing data sets
  • Communicate effectively across internal teams and with key stakeholders, developing business acumen and cultivating relationships
  • Partner with business users to clearly define their analytic and reporting needs, ultimately delivering operationally efficient solutions that meet Life Time data standards
  • Become a subject matter expert in enterprise level data sets and emerging business intelligence tools
  • Work hands on in SQL, in conjunction with other ETL and BI tools such as Alteryx and SAS, in order to deliver clean and accurate data sets used for daily business insights
  • Build a strong partnership with the broader shared services and data warehouse teams, collaborating across businesses to create and leverage best practices
  • Meet defined goals, timelines, and SLAs for distinct processes and duties


  • BA or BS in finance, data analytics, research or a related field
  • Knowledge of the health care industry is a plus
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking, excellent written and oral communication and strong organizational skills are necessary
  • Business Intelligence Reporting Tools Experience (Tableau, Power BI, OBIEE, SAS, etc.)
  • Experience with Alteryx
  • Familiarity with QA testing plans
  • Intermediate level of programming knowledge of relational databases, database structures and design, systems design, data management, data warehouse (SQL, Snowflake, etc)
  • Experience in coding and/or visualization tools (SAS, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA, Pivot tables, V-lookups, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience performing in an analytical role, with applicable experience such as significant data analysis and report development
  • 2+ years of experience developing reporting or dashboards, including familiarity with requirement gathering and data validation processes
  • 1+ years of SQL query writing experience
