As a Market Research Analyst at SullivanCotter, you will enthusiastically:

  • Identify and define the objective of an assigned marketing research project; determine the best methods to use to meet those objectives.
  • Research and compile data related to the current services market, customer demographics and interests, and factors influencing product and service demand; analyze results to identify ways of maximizing sales and market penetration of current products.
  • Compile data related to competitors’ products, such as pricing, sales, and marketing or distribution methodology.
  • Summarize and analyzes data; make recommendations related to research findings.
  • Report findings, complete with graphs illustrating data and written text explaining complex findings.
  • Identify potential new products or markets through research.
  • Forecast and track industry marketing and sales trends based on collected data.
  • Deliver reports and presentations of findings to management and/or executive leadership.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


We find people who generally fit this profile have a high degree of success in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing research, statistics, math, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • One to two years of business-related experience is required, preferably involving data analysis, financial modeling and presentation design.
  • Experience working within consulting, compensation or not-for-profit foundations and associations is preferred.
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Basic programming experience is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to:
    • Gather, analyze and organize data using a logical and systematic process.
    • Ascertain relevant and irrelevant data when conducting analytical work.
    • Visualize and articulate problems and concepts in a systematic manner.
  • Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly language and tailor communications, formal or informal, to the audience.

Reflected below is the base salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to academic achievements, skills and experience. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

  • $70,000 – $95,000
