PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Data Reporting Analyst IV sits within the Center for Information, Analytics and Insights business unit at SullivanCotter and is located in the Minneapolis office. In this role, you will assist with data collection, data validation, and analysis of various health care compensation surveys. In addition, helping with the standardization of reporting formats and methodology are necessary in this role.


  • Provides advanced analytical support across the CIAI team.
  • Develops reports and deliverables for management.
  • Helps improve existing workflows, identify automation opportunities or opportunities to streamline, and build solutions.
  • Assists with training and mentoring for other data analysts.
  • Autonomously delve into data to discover discrepancies, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Leads report production including writing syntax to generate tables and graphs, proofing and editing.
  • Conducts in-depth data cleaning and analyses using traditional and advanced methods. Running key statistics and analysis as directed by the senior members of the team.
  • Provides input into business requirements for survey tools and processes.
  • Identifies and defines both process and data improvements and leads these efforts. Ensures compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysis.
  • Provides high-touch support to internal and external clients and survey respondents with regards to survey data and process.
  • Assists with the development of new surveys or metrics, testing of SullivanCotter Client Portal, and marketing materials as required.
  • Aggregates and transforms data to meet the needs of efficient data analysis and reporting.
  • Document and describe findings in a clear and accessible way to provide insights to CIAI management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • BA or BS in a related field or equivalent experience required. Emphasis in finance, economics, statistical research, research methodology or mathematics preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years related experience in statistical analysis, survey, or data analytics.
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and statistical software.
  • Programming experience including Alteryx, R, VBA, SQL, and/or Python strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the health care industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently, manage time and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must be comfortable interfacing within the business.
