The Data Reporting Analyst II sits within the IT business unit within SullivanCotter and is located in the Minneapolis office. In this role, you will assist with data collection, data validation, and analysis of various healthcare compensation surveys. In addition, helping with the standardization of reporting formats and methodology are necessary in this role.


  • Review survey data for sensibility and accuracy. Use existing tools and develop new tools for data cleaning and validation. Conduct in-depth data cleaning and analyses using traditional and advanced methods. Run key statistics and analysis as directed by the senior members of the team.
  • Report production including generating tables and graphs, proofing and editing.
  • Aggregate and transform data to meet the needs of efficient data analysis and reporting.
  • Serve as support contact for clients and survey respondents with questions about survey data, process, etc.
  • Assist with the development of new surveys or reports, testing of SullivanCotter client portal as required.
  • Able to program and administer simple to moderately complex surveys using Qualtrics.
  • Identify and define opportunities for efficiencies in day-to-day survey operations by leveraging software and programming solutions.


  • BA or BS, with emphasis in statistical research or mathematics.
  • A minimum of 4 years related experience in statistical analysis, survey research or data analytics.
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SPSS. Basic programming experience including VBA, SQL, Python, Alteryx and Tableau preferred.
  • Knowledge of the health care industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly manner and respond to client and/or survey respondent inquiries.
