The Sr. Survey Project Manager sits within the Center for Information, Analytics and Insights within SullivanCotter’s Information Technology Business Unit. This role is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external clients ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality product offerings. Additionally, this role collaborates with consulting partners and survey managers on report delivery processes and helps define the roles, responsibilities and deliverables. The position interfaces with external clients, functional IT teams, internal consultants across practices, and other software delivery team members. This role will be instrumental in the generation of data products and analytics deliverables. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Business Operations.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees the creation and delivery of high-quality product offerings, including oversight of work plans and processes in support of a variety of data products.
  • Becomes an expert in SullivanCotter’s data, products and services and educates clients on the use and benefits.
  • Researches and develops deep understanding of market and industry trends with a focus on client needs, competitor offerings, market dynamics and new technologies.
  • Leads initiatives to drive and enhance the value of our data in the market.
  • Develops and recommends solutions that improve or enhance surveys, balancing business requirements with the drive for standardization and operational efficiency.
  • Ensures consistency of approach related to analysis techniques, key findings, and the development of recommendations/opportunities from clients and key stakeholders.
  • Builds relationships with internal and external clients and helps drive the strategy of our survey offerings.
  • Acts as a client liaison, including building client relationships through serving as a critical point person for questions about our product offerings and how they align with evolving market needs.
  • Demonstrates effective client and team relationship skills. Collaborates with consulting partners and survey managers on report delivery processes and helps define the roles, responsibilities and deliverables.
  • Keeps internal and external business stakeholders well informed of the health and progress of survey projects and delivers regular status reporting to business stakeholders.
  • Develops and proposes risk mitigation plans to ensure projects are complete on time, on budget and with high quality.
  • Ensures data integrity by overseeing quality assurance practices. Identifies and defines both process and data improvements.
  • Effectively communicates workload prioritization and progress to all interested parties and ensures projects are appropriately staffed.


  • BA or BS, with an emphasis in business analytics, research, mathematics or related field. MBA or master’s degree in relevant areas is a plus.
  • Requires 10+ years of relevant experience in the areas of data analytics, surveys and/or research with demonstrable analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a relevant leadership role.
  • Cross-functional leadership – ability to lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and functions.
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Tableau. Basic programming experience including Alteryx, VBA, SQL, Python or R is preferred.
  • Familiarity with salary surveys, market pricing and benchmarks is a plus.
  • Advanced experience in Excel including but not limited to: pivot tables, lookup formulas (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP), logical formulas (or, if, and, iserror), conditional formatting, and numerous other Excel functions.
  • Must be able to balance multiple projects simultaneously and meet set deadlines. Solid project management experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills, including demonstrated data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Knowledge of the health care industry is preferred.
